founder | DARYL BEATTY

Daryl began his career at Dow Chemical in 1979, rising to the level of Senior Research Chemist in Dow's Lubricant Technology Center before he retired in 2007. During the 22 years he dedicated to compressor fluid research and development, his inventions included fluids widely used by Sullair and Ingersoll-Rand.

He has been featured in technical publications as a resource on compressor lubricants, compressor oil analysis, and compressor reliability.

After his retirement from Dow Chemical, Daryl embarked on a second career focused on his areas of expertise. For almost ten years, he instructed Anatomy & Physiology and Microbiology at Brazosport College while offering synthetic lubricant consulting services as he founded Diamond Blue Fluids. He continues to expand his business with Diamond Blue and now teaches Biology for Blinn College on the Rellis campus of Texas A&M University.

Daryl met his wife Penny when he was a master's student assisting in one of her science classes, and they've been happily married for over 40 years now. He is an avid runner and hiker, and he instilled his love for the outdoors in his now-grown children.
